Staff Spotlight: Ms. Nelson

Ms. Nelson first joined the Easton Valley teaching staff in the 2021-22 school year as the junior high and elementary Physical Education teacher. For the past two years, she has been teaching high school physical education and health. She has been the activities director for our district since she joined Easton Valley.
In 2005, Ms. Nelson began her teaching career in the Maquoketa School District and joined the Easton Valley District three years ago because she was looking for professional growth, and being an AD/teacher provided her with that opportunity. She enjoys having the opportunity to build relationships with students and helping them become better athletes and human beings.
Being the athletic director is a challenging task, but Ms. Nelson does the job no matter the time and effort because people are counting on her.
Outside of teaching, she enjoys outdoor activities like fishing and boating. You can also find Ms. Nelson making signs, painting, and watching the Hawkeyes.
